"Why I am not a migrant"

This is my response to Dr. Ohidul Alam.

"We cannot do great things, but try to do small things with great love".
Mother Teresa.

Mr. Ohidul Alam's recent write up on outsourcing of Bangladeshi "talents" (Known as immigrant/migrant) has drawn my attention and I found it full of outdated arguments. These were also concluded with very narrow judgements. He has deliberately come up to a wrong conclusion with his "self-confidence" that does not make any sense. It is not only his emotional outburst to damage images of our Bangladeshi nationals working overseas with distinctions, but also a clear failure to recognise their important contributions to social and national/economic development to our native country. More disappointments go to all his friends who welcomed him in the US with sincere hospitality, despite their very busy schedule in professional and family life. He simply failed to recognise his fellow host friends' warm services to him with any formal/informal appreciation.

He knows very well the socio-economic spiral changes of Bangladesh for last 33 years and also that our country has been overwhelmed with a surplus of engineers and doctors graduating every year from public and private institutions. There is no shortage of doctors in Bangladesh unless someone comes up with a frivolous example of remote and isolated rural areas where our doctors are very reluctant to go for reasons personal in nature!!
