Flawed argument


I don't agree with Mr. Arshad Khan's argument that the French ban includes wearing all kinds of religious symbols like Islamic hijab, Jewish cap, and Christian Cross (October 8).

It should be understood that wearing the Cross or the Jewish cap is not considered a duty by the followers of those religions, but hijab is mandatory for a Muslim woman.
