Dance programme staged by Nrityadhara
A 26-member dance troupe came from Dhaka to take part at the ongoing cultural festival arranged by TIC. On the closing day of the event, on October 9, prominent dance group Nrityadhara presented a dance evening for the audience of Chittagong.The programme started with the traditional presentation of a devotional piece, Aadi anto, directed by Minu Haque. The troupe presented various types of dance compositions like Dhol O Mridanga and Kundo Khel directed by Tamanna Rahman, Kanai Ho and Grohon Kushum Kunjo Majhe directed by Deepa Khondokar, Kathak Tarana directed by Munmun Ahmed, Bidrohi, Garial Bhai and Rail Lainer Dhare directed by Kabirul Islam Ratan, Irsha directed by Aminul Islam Hiru, Aakar Prakar directed by Minu Haque. Most of the compositions like Kathak Tarana, Grohon Kushumo Kunjo Majhe, Irsha and Kundo Khel were very interesting. At the end of the programme, ABM Mahiudin Chowdhury, Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation formally announced the closing of the three-day long cultural events.
