Court hours during Ramadan


Chief Justice J R Mudassir Hossain yesterday rescheduled the office timing for the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the new schedule, the appellate Division will remain open from 8:00 to 2:00 pm from Saturdays to Wednesdays and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursdays, an official release said.

Timing for the courts of the High Court Division: from 10:00 am to 3;15 pm (with 15 minutes' break from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm) from Saturdays to Wednesdays.

Besides, offices of the High Court Division will remain open from 9:45 am to 3:30 pm (with a break from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm) from Saturdays to Wednesdays and from 9:45 am to 2:00 pm without break on Thursdays.

Timing for the subordinate courts: from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm (with a break from 1;15 pm to 1:30 pm) from Saturdays to Wednesdays and from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm without break on Thursdays. Offices of the courts will remain open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with 15 minutes break for Zohr prayers from Saturday to Wednesdays and from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm without break on Thursdays.
