Journalists threaten to boycott KCC news

Journalists of Khulna yesterday condemned the burning of copies of the Dainik Purbanchal at a protest rally on the press club premises. The rally was followed by a silent procession in the city. Presided over by Khulna Press Club acting president AK Hiru, the rally was also addressed by the leaders of Khulna Journalists Union(KUJ)and Metropolitan Union of Journalists (MUJ). Speakers at the rally said that they would boycott the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) news, if mayor Shaikh Tayebur Rahman had not apologised for burning copies of the Dainik Purbanchal and demanding cancellation of its declaration.
