Black Caps eye whitewash
2nd Test begins in Ctg today

New Zealand will go into the second and final Test against Bangladesh eyeing another whitewash after a comprehensive innings and 99-run victory in Dhaka. The Chittagong Test begins today at 9:30am at the MA Aziz Stadium. STAR Sports will telecast the match live. Stephen Fleming's men, who won both their home Tests against the Tigers in 2001, set a similar target before the two-match series and proved in the first match that they are well equipped to achieve their goal. Despite a top-order failure, the Black Caps recovered thanks to a determined display by the lower-half in their only innings and Daniel Vettori exploited the turning track better than the home boys. It is expected that the underprepared Chittagong wicket will assist slow bowling and Bangladesh, led by Khaled Mashud in the absence of injured captain Habibul Bashar, may pick three spinners for the first time in 32 Tests. It might inspire the team's think-tank to sacrifice one batsman to accommodate a seamer to share the new-ball with Tapash Baisya. While local boy Aftab Ahmed looks all set to make his Test debut, out-of-form Alok Kapali is likely to make way for medium pace all-rounder Mushfiqur Rahman. Tareq Aziz, who had a poor match in Dhaka, is also likely to be dropped.
