Police and witnesses said, OASIS representative Zahidur Rahman, 30, of Garpara village in Manikganj Sadar upazila was attacked by when he was returning home from his workplace riding a motorcycle. They fired on him from a close range and died on the spot.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Manikganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Protesting the incident, the Manikganj unit of the medical representatives' association held a rally in town, followed by a procession and handed over a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding arrest of the killers.
