Cabinet decides to modernise BSTI

The cabinet at a regular meeting yesterday decided to modernise Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institute (BSTI).Prime Minister Khaleda Zia chaired the meeting held at the prime minister's office (PMO) while cabinet members and state ministers concerned were present. Earlier, the meeting reviewed the importance and activities of BSTI, a specialised institution to protect the consumers' rights. The meeting also approved the proposals to amend the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
