Six players were sharing the lead in the Open FIDE Rating chess tournament after the fifth round at the federation auditorium yesterday.FIDE Master Aminul Islam, Mehdi Hasan Parag, Mohammed Javed, Debaraj Chaterjee, Saifuddin Lavlu and Shafiq Ahmed secured 4.5 points after five rounds to jointly lead the table. In the day's matches, Lavlu drew with Amin, Parag shared points with Javed, Debaraj beat Farhad, Shafiq beat Monir, Reza beat Zaker, Liza beat Arman, Afzal beat Enayet, Sohel beat Shahin, Dinayet beat Siraj, Ali beat Amirul and Mostafa beat Zahid.
