Lloyd inspects Bogra Stadium
UNB, Bogra
Legendary West Indian cricketer and ICC inspector Clive Lloyd visited Shaheed Chandu Cricket Stadium yesterday. He came to Bangladesh on Thursday to assess four new cricket stadiums -- Fatullah in Narayanganj, Bogra, Chittagong and Khulna -- in the country waiting for recognition as international venues. After a look around the new-built park, Lloyd apparently expressed his satisfaction over the facilities here. He, however, parried a question from the local newsmen if the stadium would be accredited as a Test venue. Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) Development Committee chairman Arafat Rahman, BCB advisor Mahbub Anam and other officials accompanied Lloyd during the visit. The former West Indies captain will fly to Chittagong today to examine the Divisional Stadium which has been prepared exclusively for cricket.
