Arefin, Gazi new FBUTA president, secy gen

The Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers' Association (FBUTA) formed a new executive committee for 2004-05 yesterday with Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique and Prof Gazi Salehuddin as its president and secretary general.The other members are Prof M Khalequzzaman of Rajshahi University (RU), Prof M Nasir Uddin of Jahangirnar University and Prof Shusanto Kumar Das of Shajalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) - vice-presidents; Dr Sadequl Arefin Matin of RU - treasurer; and Dr Jahiruddin Ahmed of SUST - joint-secretary general. The new committee was formed at a meeting held at the Dhaka University Club Bhaban with its outgoing president Prof M Habibur Rahman in the chair, said a press release.
