Rab nab Tokai Mizan's aide

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) last night arrested an infamous gang-leader and associate of Tokai Mizan with a revolver and five rounds of bullet in the city's Palashi area.A team of Rab-2 held Abdul Jabbar, chief of 'Jabbar and Gandu Anwar' gang operating in Lalbagh and Kamrangirchar, at around 7:30pm. Jabbar is accused of several murders, extortion and possession of illegal arms and explosives. A Rab contingent later took him to Kamrangirchar area in search of hidden arms and were in action till filing of this report at 1:00am today, sources at the Rab said. The Rab team nabbed Jabbar acting on information given by Tokai Mizan under interrogation. Mizan died in a 'crossfire' between Rab and his accomplices at Kamrangirchar last Tuesday, eight hours into his arrest. Local sources said Jabbar's gang operates under protection of a lawmaker.
