Parag defeats S African IM

Mehdi Hasan Parag increased his tally in the 43rd World Junior Chess Championship when he beat South African International Master Manyedi M Johannes in the twelfth round at Kochi, India yesterday.The Bangladesh junior champion bagged 6.5 points. Indian Grand Master Pentala Harikrishna and Zhao Jun of China were jointly leading the table with 9.5 points each. The 13th and final round games will be held today with Parag playing IM Poobesh Anand of India.
