Two brothers get life for killing child in Jamalpur

A court here on Monday sentenced two brothers to life term rigorous imprisonment (RI) for killing a child. The convicts are Enamul Haque Shahid and Salim of village Fulldaha Nayapara under Sarishabari upazila in Jamalpur district. Additional District and Sessions Judge of Jamalpur Khan Moha-mmed Abdul Mannan also fined each of them Tk 5,000, in default to suffer three months more RI. As a sequel to a previous enmity, the convicts strangled a seven-year-old child, Mizanur Rahaman at the same village on December 20 in 1998.
