Global Suppliers Limited has introduced the quick service restaurant in the burger segment to serve the customers in a minute. The prices of burgers range from Tk90 to Tk170.

Apart from the snacks that include hot dogs, fried chicken, French fries, milk shakes and baked waffles, the restaurant offers a special item, root beer, a non-alcoholic carbonated soft-drink made from a combination of 16 different spices, roots, barks and berries.

Inaugurating the restaurant US Ambassador Harry K Thomas appreciated the private sector partnership between the US and Bangladesh.

Speaking at the inaugural function Sumit Arora, regional manager (International Operations) of YUM! Restaurants International, owning company of A&W Restaurants, said the restaurant ensures satisfaction of the customers with delicious food in a clean environment.

With the seating capacity of 165 people at a time, the restaurant remains open from 11:00am to 11:00pm on weekdays and until midnight on Thursday and Friday.

With its roots in the US, A&W was launched in 1919 and the number of its chained restaurants has so far stood at 2,000 around the world.

The officials of Global Suppliers said the company has a plan to expand the outlets of the restaurant to Dhanmondi, Uttara and Chittagong.
