Rab, Cheetah products of govt failure

Utterly failing to control the law and order, the government has let forces like Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), Cheetah and Cobra work wantonly, Dr Kamal Hossain, president of Jatiya Oikya Mancha, said yesterday.He also called upon all sections of people to be united to save the country from 'a handful of unscrupulous people'. Speaking at a meeting of Jatiya Oikya Mancha at Arambagh in the city to mark the Victory Day, Dr Kamal said, "Since the independence, many people have sacrificed their lives to bring about a change in the country, which we have not seen yet." "Politics is now conducted by hired workers, who can never bring any positive result for the country," he said, adding there is no alternative to being united to save the nation. Oikya Mancha leaders Ajay Roy, Shamsuddoha and Abdur Rab also spoke on the occasion.
