Mariner Youngs Club recorded their third consecutive win in the Green Delta Premier Hockey League with a massive 6-0 defeat of lowly Railway Sporting Club at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium yesterday.With four wins and three draws, Mariner pushed their collection to 15 points form seven games. After six matches, Railway have just one point. Asaduzzaman Chandan, who scored twice, opened the floodgates after 13 minutes while Prashanta netted in the 25th minute to give Mariner a 2-0 first-half lead. Pakistani Yamin Bhatti added one in the 47th minute while Chandan's second goal came seven minutes later. Ace striker Rafiqul Islam Kamal sealed the victory with two strikes in the last five minutes. In the day's other match, Sonali Bank and Azad Sporting Club shared points in a 2-2 draw. Rimon and Taifur put Azad 2-0 ahead by the fifth minute but the bankers pulled off their third draw with goals by Mobarak and Indian recruit Debinder Singh in the 61 and 64 minutes. Sonali Bank have six points and Azad two after six outings.
