Big win for Partex

Biplab Sharma Pappa and Tariq Ahmed Ruben smashed half-centuries to steer Partex Sporting Club to an 88-run win over Jatrabari Krira Chakra in yesterday's First Division Cricket League at the BKSP ground in Savar.Opener Pappa scored 75 off 84 balls with 11 fours and three sixes while one-down Ruben's run-a-ball 84 was studded with ten boundaries as Partex amassed 273-7 in 50 overs after being put into bat. Johnny and Yunus each chipped in with two wickets for Jatrabari, who were bundled out for 185 in 44.3 overs. Opener Ariful Haque topscored 40 while Sajjad Ahmed Munna made 38. Veteran medium pacer Mizanur Rahman Babul was the peak of Partex attack, taking 4-28 from 9.3 overs.
