AK-47 recovered in Rangamati

An AK-47 assault rifle was recovered from a tribal youth by army at a remote bazaar in Durchhari under Baghaichhari upazila on Wednesday, according to police.On his confession, army recovered the rifle and several magzines from a nearby jungle. The magzines were filled with live bullets. The arrested person is Rangadhon Chakma, 35, a former member of defunct Shantibahini, local sources told this correspondent. The gunrunner was being interrogated by a special team of army from Longdu Zone till filing of the report on Thursday afternoon.
