Transcom Beverages opens new plant in Gazipur
Transcom Beverages Ltd, the authorised franchisee of soft drink brand Pepsi in Bangladesh, has opened a new beverage plant at Mouchak in Gazipur on Wednesday.Latifur Rahman, chairman and managing director of Transcom, and Rajeev Bakshi, chairman of Pepsi Co India Holdings, formally unveiled the plaque of the newly built plant, says a press release. Executive Director of the company GQ Chowdhury delivered an welcome address while Lead Manager (Project and Technical) offered vote of thanks at a meet arranged on the occasion prior to the plaque unveiling ceremony of the plant. The address of welcome was followed by speeches of Latifur Rahman and Rajeev Bakshi. Siddikur Rahman, mechanical engineer of the plant, recited verses from the holy Qur'an at the beginning of the inaugural function. Aloke Malik, executive director (East Market Unit) of Pepsi Co India, Sudhir Pradhan, country manager, Shahnaj Rahman, Saifur Rahman, Atikur Rahman, Obaidur Rahman Khan, directors, Khurshid Irfan Chowdhury, general manager (S&D), Mohsin Alam, lead manager (Project and Technical), Golam Habib, manager of Human Resources, Mahfuz Alam, factory manager, and other senior officials were also present at the opening ceremony.
