Acting on a tip-off, police raided the counter of an inter-district bus company and found the skeletons in three bags.

They arrested owner of the bags, Mushfiqur Rahman Sohel, of village Bashgari under Banchharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria district.

Sohel confessed to police that the skeletons were smuggled in from North 24 Parganas of India's West Bengal state. The human skeletons were being brought to Dhaka for sale for medical purposes.
