Bangladeshi workers' remuneration

The eye opening letter by Kazi Firoz (DS: Dec 29) is indeed news to probably many of us.

But one thing of which I am sure, having visited Saudi Arabia on two occasions, is that it is as racist a country as one can imagine. My observation is that Americans and Europeans are shown undue servitude by the Arabs. In contrast all others are second class persons and poor Bengalees the bottom of the totem pole.

However the question remains; what is our government doing to remove this basic and worst type of discrimination? So much for the empty slogan of "Islamic Umma" and "Muslim Brotherhood". Indeed it is a shame on us.
