New railway timetable for inter-city trains


Bangladesh Railway (BR), Eastern Zone, has announced a new timetable for eight inter-city trains, with effect from today.

According to a BR press release, the running time of the trains will reduce between 20 minutes to 1.10 hours following the change although departure and arrival time of other inter-city train services under the zone will remain unchanged.

According to the latest schedule, Mahanagar Godhuli will leave Chittagong at 3.00 pm instead of 2.00 pm and will reach Dhaka at 9.45 pm while Pahariaka Express will depart the port city at 8.00am instead of 7.45 am and will arrive in Sylhet at 5.20 pm.

Egarasindur Prabhati will leave Kamalapur Railway Station at 7.00 am instead of 8.00 am and will arrive in Kishoreganj at 12.00noon while Jayantika Express will leave Dhaka at 1.30 pm instead of 12.30 noon and reach Sylhet at 9.30 pm.

Ekata Express will leave Dhaka at 6.00 pm instead of 5.10 pm and it will leave Bahadurabad at 1.45 am instead of 1.05 am.

Upaban Express will leave Sylhet at 10.30 pm instead of 10 pm and will arrive in Dhaka at 6.45 am.

The Subrna Express will leave Dhaka 20 minutes earlier than the previous time, while Parabat Express will depart Sylhet half an hour earlier.
