Rajuk can save or kill millions!

Recently, I had the experience of the terrible earthquake in Niigata and I found earthquake a very dangerous natural disaster because it does not give any time to move to a safe place. We had several earthquakes in 20 days and our building was shaking continuously. If such earthquakes occur in Dhaka city I guess many buildings would collapse leading to deaths of hundreds of thousands of people because Rajuk allowed buildings which did not and are not following the code necessary to resist earthquake. I hope the authorities concerned (specially the high officials of Rajuk ) will think about the matter seriously.

We must not forget that Dhaka is situated on a risky tectonic plate. I would like to request people not to waste water because a decreased ground water table increases the risk of an earthquake. A study showed that we can reduce the amount usage of water by 6 to 8 times, if we use it in a planned way.
