Traffic rules
Anonymous, Lecturer, Dhaka University
We must abide by the traffic rules for our own safety. So please don't park your car here and there. Use the footpaths as much as you can, use the overbridge though you feel lazy to cross it. We should follow the green-red lights as these have been introduced in a better way after a long time and if we don't go by them, then the investment will be ruined. Don't cross the road when you are not allowed to do so, as it may cost your life and delay the traffic for nothing. Don't jump into a bus when it is running , as it may hurt you severely. Control the rickshaw-pullers and force them to use the left lane or a side of the road; otherwise, the motor vehicles must use horn, and wait - which is meaningless. The authorities MUST control the culprits in the traffic police who actually are busy taking bribe rather than working sincerely to control traffic. It's pathetic to see those traffic policemen taking money for nothing from the buses, trucks, rickshaws, etc. So they must be controlled, otherwise all the steps will be ineffective. So let's go for some awareness programme among us to control the roads for the safety of all.
