Congregations will also be held in 361 grounds or mosques in 90 wards in the city according to respective timetable, Dhaka City Corporation said today.

"In case of inclement weather, the main congregation will be shifted to the national mosque Baitul Mukarram, but the timing will remain unchanged," says a government handout.

For the female devotees, arrangement has been made beside the main congregation by erecting curtain so that they can take part in Eid prayers at the National Eidgah.

The DCC has taken necessary measures, including water supply for ablution and toilets for the devotees, on the National Eidgah premises.

The DCC has also made "special arrangement for diplomats and their spouses so that they can offer their Eid prayers safely."

A series of Eid congregations will be held at Baitul Mukarram --first at 7:00am and then at 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am.
