Moudud leaves for Manila

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Moudud Ahmed yesterday left for Manila to attend an international workshop on "Challenges in Implementing Access to Justice Reforms."The three-day workshop will be inaugurated on January 26. The workshop organised by Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the capital of the Philippines will focus on various aspects of reforms in judicial and police administrations. Besides, establishment of transparency and accountability as well as moral issues and efficiency of these two vital organs of the government will figure prominently in the five sessions of the workshop. Judges and senior officials of the judiciary and police administrations from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Indonesia as well as representatives from USAID and ADB will take part in the workshop.
