FBCCI asks opposition to call off hartal during summit

The country's apex trade body the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) yesterday urged the opposition parties to call off their hartal during the Saarc Summit, as the programme stirred speculations about the fate of the meet.The FBCCI leaders made the urge from a meeting at its office with FBCCI President Abdul Awal Mintu in the chair. They also appealed to the government to ensure exemplary punishment of the killers of former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria through quick and fair investigation.
