FF's daughter moves HC for being denied job under quota

Daughter of a freedom fighter moved the High Court yesterday as she was denied employment under the quota for the children of FFs.

The court issued rule upon the government to explain within a week why the appointments depriving Nadia Simmi who sought lower grade employment in the Health Department should not be declared illegal.

Nadia, daughter of freedom fighter Abul Kalam of Kalihati village in Bagerhat district, applied for a job against 12 vacancies. The posts were filled up in October last year depriving Nadia, the only candidate under FFs children quota.

Advocate SM Rezaul Karim appeared for Nadia.
