18 shops gutted in Khulna fire

Eighteen shops at Sher-e-Bangla Market of Terokheda upazila in the district were gutted in a fire on Monday midnight. Loss of properties had been estimated at over Tk 1 crore. The fire was brought under control after a four-hour fight by firefighters of Khulna Fire Service. According to police and eyewitnesses, the fire originated from an electric short circuit at about 2:15am.
