Gazi Tank were handed victory by virtue of better run-rate after their First Division Cricket League match against Partex SC ended in a tie at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.In the exciting battle between the co-leaders, both sides finished on 221-8 in the stipulated 50 overs but Gazi Tank, who batted second, were declared winners as they had a better run-rate after 49 overs according to the league bylaws. An unbeaten 61 by Kamrul steered Dhanmondi Club (146-4) to a six-wicket win over Surjo Torun (144) at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium while Dhaka Wanderers (145-4) recorded an identical win against Prantik KC (144) at BKSP in Savar. In the day's other match at BKSP, Kathalbagan (179-6) defeated Bangladesh Boys (178) by four wickets.
