Saarc summit

The postponement of Saarc summit is no doubt a great shock for Bangladesh. This might create misunderstanding between the two neighbouring countries. To mend this relationship a time span is to be envisaged and agreed upon. This type of lag in the field of regional activities will encourage the fanatic groups to boost their nefarious activities.

It is the second time the Saarc summit has been postponed. The first postponement was unavoidable as some Saarc countries were hit by Tsunami which left a trail of devastation. But with the latest postponement there might be an oblique equation of international politics. It was India's duty to assist Bangladesh in its bid to address the issues that New Delhi had viewed as a security concern.

Bangladesh has shown no dearth of goodwill in organising the summit. So, India has no right to use the forum according to its own needs only.
