Zia wrests lead from Rakib

Grand Master Ziaur Rahman displaced International Master Abdullah Al Rakib from top slot when he won their sixth round board in the Mercantile Bank 31st National Chess Championship at the federation hall-room yesterday.Another Grand Master Niaz Murshed also won defeating Syed Mahfuzur Rahman to share the lead with reigning champion Zia securing 5.5 points each. Rakib slipped to second position on 4.5 points.
