Zia Fertiliser resumes production

Ashugonj Zia Fertiliser Factory resumed production on Tuesday after seven days' suspension following a fire incident. The factory incurred a loss of about Tk five crore during the period, sources there said. The production was stopped on February 22 following a fire in its Amonia plant. The production loss has been estimated at 11,000 tonnes. The factory produces 1600 tonnes of urea a day. The Managing Director of the factory said its own engineers repaired the damage caused by the fire.
