BDB to work for 100 seats in next polls

Bikalpa Dhara Bangldesh (BDB) will start working in 100 constituencies of the country in a week as preparation for the next parliament election, party leaders said at a press conference in party's Segunbagicha office yesterday."The government is running with the support of saline right now; soon it will need oxygen and afterwards it is going to be clinically dead," Badruddoza Chowdhury, former president and chairman of the party said. "If we look into the history of the world we learn that intellectuality always defeated the muscles," he said, adding that the people will throw out the present four party alliance government in the next election they would not able to continue the torture and violence upon the opposition parties forever. In reply to question, Mahi B Chowdhury, the lone lawmaker of BDB said they will select fresh activists for the BDB and train them with the principles of BDB politics. "We have selected candidates for 100 constituencies to start work for the next election and extending our organisational network there," said Mahi. He said BDB is the lone anti-hartal party who have not given any street programme for many days and is working for strengthening the party network. "But we have been facing brutal attacks by the government-backed goons wherever we want to work," he said, adding, "Soon we will expand our organisational network in the whole country and the BDB will able to build a positive image in less than a year." "BDB wants to learn from the development process of countries like Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore and implement that in our country," he said. BDB General Secretary Abdul Mannan was also present at the press conference.
