Surveillance found a major cause of childhood death in Bangladesh
Child mortality rates from infectious diseases in under-five years old children in Bangladesh have declined dramatically. Drowning deaths now account for over half the number of deaths in children 1-4 years old in Matlab. The peak period for drowning apperas to be to April to October.In fact the ICDDR,B health and demographic surveillance system in Matlab reveals the picture whole country.
