I have read with surprise your lead news "Reining in BNP MPs" published in The Daily Star of 13 March, 2005.The debate that has been mentioned between the law minister and me was based on the tradition of parliamentary norms and democratic culture, which the BNP has always been upholding. However, the prefix used in your newspaper 'heated debate' is incorrect.
As a matter of fact, the proceedings of the meeting were most cordial, friendly and essentially based on the constitution and the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, and in the tradition of parliamentary democracy.
