Three out of 8 abducted people yet to be released in Bandarban

A group of unidentified kidnappers released five out of eight abducted people within fifteen hours of kidnapping in Bandarban, relatives of the victims said yesterday. The rest three abducted persons still remained under the custody of the unidentified kidnapers for ransom, they added. The police said that armed criminals kidnapped five men including three ethnic persons from Bangchari area of Rawangchari upazilla while other three hilly people from Shakyamoni Para of Ruma upazilla on Friday and kept them in a hidden place. The police, did not agree to comment whether the kidnappers demanded ransom or not. But the local sources and the relatives of the abducted persons said that they They were trying to contact the kidnappers to release the remaining three abducted persons informed the local sources and the relatives of the abducted persons.
