45 fined for marketing, using polybags

A taskforce yesterday realised Tk 28,500 in fine from 45 people for producing, marketing and using banned polybags.According to an official release, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistracy and Dhaka Metropolitan Police, led by Environment Department, conducted a surprise drive at Madrasha Market in the city's Mirpur area and fined 45 people. Cases were also filed against them in this connection, the release added.
