Fish farmer shot dead

Unidentified assailants yesterday gunned down a fish farm owner in front of his house in Mohakhali in the capital.Ranjit Chandra Das, 30, son of Ganesh Chandra Das of Christian Para in Mohakhali, was talking to his friends when the assailants opened fire on him at about 7:00pm, said his mother Anjana Rani Das. Ranjit, who used to reside at Swarupkathi in Barisal and run his farm, was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), but was declared dead on arrival.
