Rocca arrives in Dhaka
To meet Khaleda, Hasina today

US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Christina Rocca arrived in Dhaka yesterday on a two-day official visit to review the Dhaka-Washington bilateral relations.She will also discuss regional issues and Middle East peace plan with Bangladesh leaders during her stay in Dhaka, official sources said. The sources told the private news agency that Rocca would hold meetings with Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan and other high government officials and members of the civil society today and tomorrow. Rocca will call on Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. She is expected to meet the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Sheikh Hasina at Sudha Sadan at 4:00pm today. The trip of Rocca, who flew in here at 8:35pm, is the first high-level one from America after President Bush was inaugurated for a second term in the White House.
