Foreign ministry rejoinder, BDNEWS' reply

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday contradicted a news item published in The Daily Star on Tuesday and creed by BDNEWS.The ministry said: "In your item on US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Ms. Christina Rocca's visit to Dhaka, it has been mentioned that during her short stay in New Delhi she discussed with MEA officials about Bangladesh issues along with Nepal." "The reality is that Ms Rocca did not discuss anything about Bangladesh in New Delhi. Even The Hindustan Times as has been quoted as a source in your item did not carry any such report," it said.
