Shane Warne finally scored the first century of his career on the opening day of Hampshire's county championship game against Kent on Wednesday at Canterbury.Batting at number nine, the Australian reached his hundred off only 72 balls, hitting three sixes and 15 fours. Warne is Test cricket's world record wicket-taker, but his best score was 99 against New Zealand in 2001. He put on 131 with Tom Burrows (42) and ran out of partners on 107 not out as Hampshire were dismissed for 328.
