2 shot in city

A security guard and a garment worker were shot when local criminals stormed a garment factory at Rampura in the city yesterday.Security guard Abdul Aziz,42, and Iron machine operator Hamidur Rahman,18, of Mega Star Apparels Ltd were shot in their legs. Colleagues rushed them to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where they are now undergoing treatment. A gang of around six stormed the five-storey factory to buy garments byproducts (jhut) at about 2:30pm. The criminals got angered when they came to know that the byproducts have already been sold. They used to force the owner to sell jhut to them. "They fired at least seven shots," said the injured security man Abdul Aziz.
