Tax dodging

These things only can happen in Bangladesh. Alleged tax dodgers had their Mercedes Benz and Toyota bulldozed at a railway container terminal in Dhaka. Even if the allegations are true the bulldozing of the said vehicles seems very foolhardy. They could have impounded the vehicles until the owner paid the taxes and/or some fine. An exorbitant fine would be lesson enough for the tax evaders. Their failure to present themselves before customs officials to clarify the situation should have been enough for them to impound the cars permanently. The usage of the cars by the NBR for official purposes would be enough of a PR stunt to teach a lesson.

Needless destruction of valuable products simply doesn't make sense.
