The Chuadanga-Kushtia Road remains busy round the clock. It is linked with various parts of the country including Dhaka. Hundreds of light to heavy vehicles ply this road. But as ill luck would have it, a section of the road running from Uttara Filling Station to Alamdanga railway station is too narrow to accommodate a medium size bus, not to speak of heavy vehicles. As a result, accident on this section of the road is a regular phenomenon. The accidents have taken some valuable lives. In view of the problem, the aforesaid section of the road needs to be widened with immediate effect to avert accident and ensure smooth plying of vehicles. The authorities concerned should look into the matter with a sense of urgency and do the needful to widen the road in the greater interest of the passengers travelling on this route.
