One shot in city

Unknown criminals shot and injured a security guard of a construction company in the city yesterday. A gang of three stormed the construction site of Raja Niloy of Navana Company at Mirpur Section 10 at about 8:00am and searched for the contractor who was asked by them a few days back to pay them a handsome amount in toll, sources said. As Mohammad Mamun, 28, could not say anything about the whereabouts of the contractor, the criminals shot him thrice from point blank. Mamun was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
