BCL to form separate DU committee for female members

A full-fledge committee of the female members of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Dhaka University (DU) unit, will be formed soon.Party sources said BCL parental organisation Awami League President Sheikh Hasina directed BCL President Liaqat Sikder and General Secretary Nazrul Islam Babu to form an independent committee for the DU unit female activists at an emergency meeting at the Sudha Sadan yesterday. Emerging from the meeting, Babu told The Daily Star that Hasina directed them to form the committee to encourage the women participate in direct politics. He said the central committee would look after the activities of the female committee.
