'Tougher movement soon if govt fails to nab killers'
Staff Correspondent, Khulna
Leaders of the newly formed 'Shangbadik Belal Hatyar Bichar Dabi Parishad' yesterday threatened to go for a tougher movement soon if the government fails to arrest the real killers."We can not let the murder of the journalist Belal go unnoticed and the killers remain unpunished," they said this at a press conference yesterday at the VIP auditorium of Khulna Press club. The newly formed parishad comprising top leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir termed the charge sheet under explosive substances act an eyewash. This sort of charge sheet, submitted to the court recently, is aimed to throw dust into the eyes of the people and belittle gravity of the bomb blast incident on February 5 at the press club, which ultimately claimed the life of Belal on February 11, Parishad Convenor Shaikh Kamrul Alam said. They said a group of vest interests has been trying to save the killers and masterminds. In fact, investigation of the murder case has been shelved. What's going on now in the name of investigation is nothing but a foul play, they said condemning inactive role of several ministers of the cabinet in this respect.
