Television show on adolescent reproductive health
A gala premiere of the new 26-episode educational TV magazine programme Amra Shobai Jante Chai under the Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) communication package Know Yourself was held on May 19 at the Spectra Convention Centre.The programme was organised by Bangladesh Centre for Communication Programmes (BCCP) with support from the ARH Working Group.Amra Shobai Jante Chai, a programme for adolescents, is to be aired on BTV every week at 7:30pm beginning from the last week of May, says a press release. The magazine show consists of stories and question/answer sessions on juvenile issues, special guest appearances and quizzes with the full involvement of adolescents. The aim is to generate awareness among adolescents about their reproductive health and rights, enable them to develop life skill to think critically, give up risky and harmful practices, exercise positive health behavior and shape a risk-free future.
